A retired professor of political science, I also served as chair of the Clay County Commission in South Dakota.

I’m working with four other households to establish South Dakota’s first cohousing community in Vermillion, SD, home of the University of South Dakota. We are blessed with high quality of life, thanks to a caring community, the University’s excellent cultural offerings, and the Missouri National Recreation River, a National Park on our doorstep. We are planning 20 to 30 units with a common house and a space for storage of recreational equipment. We currently have a development team and 5 acres of beautiful land, and expect to build in 2027
