Bio | I first connected with experiential learning communities through being a course instructor for Outward Bound Schools (Minnesota, the Lake District of England, Bavaria Germany, Salzkammergut Austria). After Outward Bound I married and moved to the early Findhorn Foundation Community in Morayshire, Scotland where my first wife and I lived for 3 years. Our first son was born there and we returned to make our home in California and found an experiential learning youth development organization called the Challenge Learning Center which we ran until my wife died of breast cancer in 1995. My career continued through providing Organizational Development programs for Bay Area companies (Intel was our most-served client). My current wife, Sandi, and I were good friends from our meeting at the Univ. of Washington as students. She and I found River Song in 2019 and helped it get through funding and organizational challenges. Our construction completed October of 2022 and we moved into our new home on the shores of the Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon. After a year and a half we agree that we have found a treasure in our coho and look forward to making our world more aware of cohos and collaborative governance communities. |
