As a literal child of the 60’s, I grew up surrounded by messages of community yet embedded in a seemingly conventional, truly dysfunctional household. My own discovery of the healing power of community was found in myriad theater groups which became family, and my first visit to The Farm in TN in the late 70’s. Bliss! My coming into power as a woman and a Lesbian was facilitated by my 2 years living at Groves Coop in Madison, part of a rich network of cohousing cooperatives. As a social worker in private practice for 25 years, working somatically with trauma, I know the healing power of intentional community…and the toxic elements that can undo it. Now, I’m ready for the next step
