Until my retirement, I worked for Child Development Resources, a children’s

nonprofit, for over 30 years serving as Deputy Director. When my husband and I became

the legal guardians of a young man with mental health issues, we found many gaps in the

system of care. We joined NAMI, where we met other families struiggling to provide support for their family members facing mental health challenges. A group of those families founded Hope Family Village, which may be the first cohousing community in the US to provide a place of aceesptance and belonging for those struggling with mental health issues. My focus has always been on how to maximize potential and

independence for all individuals and their families. I serve as the President of the Hope Family Village

Board and am active in the community with variety of organizations related to children and

families.
