Grew up on a farm in Bucks County PA. At age 60 I switched from a commercial/ marketing career to one advocating for climate change mitigation and adaptation. My concerns prompted me to take a Permaculture Design Certification course from Andrew Faust, founder of New York’s Center for BioRegional Living. I’m always interested in how “sustainability” is evolving. Currently I volunteer as a community outreach person in CT, encouraging the state’s municipalities to form sustainability committees that advocate for the adoption of energy efficiency best practices, and help end the extraction and use of fossil fuels. My fellow CT Energy Network members also interact with state-level legislators to get the right kinds of legislation passed in Hartford.
