Paul Cullen grew up on a dairy farm in New Zealand, and learned that if something needed fixing, you fixed it yourself. He lived in an ashram in India for two years, and in a commune in Oregon for four years, learning the value and importance of community. Paul and is wife Vicki had been investigating cohousing for a couple of years before finding Sunnyside Village, a cohousing community forming in Marysville WA.
He studied civil engineering, worked in various construction fields – as well as software engineering, and is now retired. He is currently leader of the Development Circle, and a member of the Construction Interface Team at Sunnyside.
