Ronnie is a social activist in Golden, Colorado, where she has lived in a cohousing community since 1997, and is a resource for other intentional communities. Her expertise is in communication, meeting facilitation, and decision-making. She lived in an intentional community for four years in the 1970s. As a mediator, she has assisted families in the resolution of issues related to divorce, parenting, and aging. Her experience as a facilitator of conversations has given her an appreciation for the value of deep listening. A recently retired manager with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Johanna has lived in a 27-unit cohousing community in Colorado since 1997 and over those years has held several leadership roles including most recently as the financial representative. In her career and life in cohousing, she’s worked with large groups on complicated, multi-stakeholder issues where no one solution is obvious or will meet everyone’s expectations. Johanna is a big-fan of consensus decision-making and crafting more creative and lasting solutions with contributions from diverse voices and perspectives.
