Bio

Senait Brown is an anti-racist organizer, educator, and curator of Black Power & Pleasure spaces dedicated to liberation. With a background in urban planning and legislative advocacy, she serves as the Black Land Justice Coordinator and a Co-Owner of the House of Mkeka, SPC. She is a Core Trainer with the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond and Policy Director for the Doulas For All Coalition, where she advocates for reparative justice and birth health equity. Senait has previously held leadership roles in several community collectives, including Youth Undoing Institutional Racism, the No New Youth Jail Campaign, BlackOut Washington, and the Doulas For All Coalition. As a queer Black feminist and land steward, she focuses her work on a nuanced understanding of how histories, systems, and structures shape contemporary struggles for land, wealth, culture, and self determination.
